2018 Season

DAVID GIGNAC

(Technical Director, Season Set Design; 2nd season with ISF) is a working artist who has made Whidbey Island his home for the last 26 years. He works in all mediums ranging from blown glass, sculpture and architectural iron work to painting and 2D design, with his work shown nationally. Theater has always been a part of David’s creative life and he often refers to it as his first career beginning at summer stock theater company in his home town of Alfred, NY in 1983. Since then he has designed and built many sets for Island Theater and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, and a number of fringe theaters in Seattle including Annex Theater, Macha Monkey Productions and Open Circle. David is extremely excited for the opportunity to design sets for ISF and fill the role of Technical Director.
