Deana Duncan

(Anne Boleyn, Nell, Margaret, Queen Elizabeth; 2nd Season with ISF) is Whidbey Island Center for the Art’s Artistic Director and was instrumental in the launch of the WICA Theatre Series. Deana holds a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership from Seattle University, a BFA in Theatre Arts and Communications from the University of Nevada, Reno, and received her training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Stella Adler Conservatory. She studied directing with Tony award winner Bartlett Sher during his tenure as Artistic Director at Intiman Theatre in Seattle, WA. She most recently trained with SITI Company, New York. Deana worked as first AD on the children’s television series Captain Callie and will be directing the Pulitzer Prize winning musical Next to Normal in April, here at WICA followed by the modern fairytale Prelude to a Kiss in June. She calls Whidbey Island home and just completed her RYT200 (Registered Yoga Teacher Training) with BeLuminous Yoga , Seattle.
