(Playwright) is the Director of Company Development at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, where he has been a member of the artistic staff since 1993. While at OSF, Scott has directed, adapted, coached, or performed in all 38 of Shakespeare’s plays. Scott is the author of three books on Shakespeare: The Tao of Shakespeare, Shakespeare’s Wordcraft, and Mastering Shakespeare: An Acting Class in Seven Scenes. He has also penned four other original plays: Falstaff in Love, an adventure with the young Jack Falstaff; Love’s Labor’s Won, a sequel to Shakespeare’s Love’s Labor’s Lost; Now This, an exploration of the human consequences of American consumer culture; and Splittin’ the Raft, a retelling of the Huck Finn story through the eyes of African-American abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Jeff Allen Pierce most recently performed in the revival of the world renowned holiday favorite, The Christmas S#!tshow as Tim Allen, the Grinch and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Jeff has performed coast to coast with such companies as Mill Mountain Theatre, Fusion Theatre Company, Key City Public Theatre, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. His favorite roles include Sam in Fully Committed, Sir Toby in Twelfth Night, Boyd in The Big Bang, and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun. In his copious free time* Jeff works as a banker, theater manager, fiancé, and father.
