At ISF, we believe classic theatre belongs to everyone, and we strive for inclusion and representation across the full scope of humanity in both our audiences and company. We acknowledge that the Western classical canon was written through a narrow cultural lens, but we believe the humanity in these plays transcends those limitations. We seek to define space in these stories for the richness of who we are today, and we work to expand familiarity with global classical voices historically excluded.

Working with ISF means collaborating outdoors in a flexible, joyful, and care-centered environment. Our summer company brings together visiting and local artists for a repertory season built on teamwork, clear communication, and shared values. Housing is provided through generous community hosts, and rehearsals and performances take place on our open-air stage.
