Island Shakespeare Festival



Bridget McCarthy, CTSS, CTRT (they/them) | Mental Health Coordinator (1st season with ISF) is an actor, director, writer, and therapist who is proud to call Atlanta “home”, and stoked to be working with ISF. As one of the nation’s first Mental Health Coordinators, Bridget works at the intersection of mental health and theatre, working to make this work more accessible, safer, more joyful for all participants. Bridget is pursuing a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counselling, and holds certifications from the International Trauma Institute and STARR Commonwealth. As an actor, they are a company member with Stage Door Theatre, Working Title Playwrights, and the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. Favorite recent roles in Atlanta include: Beatrice (Much Ado, Wayfinder’s Ensemble), Laertes (Hamlet, Atlanta Shakespeare), and Titania/Quince (Stage Door Theatre).
